Helmet libraries’ Ukrainian-language collection is growing fast

During the spring, Helmet libraries quickly set up a collection in Ukrainian. Ukrainian is a new language for Helmet libraries – previously, Ukrainian-language literature was only offered by the national Multilingual Library.

This spring, more than a thousand works in Ukrainian were ordered for Helmet libraries. Most of them are children’s books. The available selection is actively monitored and more materials are constantly ordered.

In addition to its own purchases, the library has received donations, such as a memory game that promotes children’s emotional skills. It was donated by the Protect Children association and its partners. In addition, the libraries have received Molli children’s books as a donation from Lasten Keskus.
