Christmas post to the elderly
The “Christmas post to the elderly” campaign invites to send Christmas cards to older people.
The “Siskot ja Simot” society for creative caring and its partners will arrange a campaign called “Christmas mail for the elderly” on 8.11. – 7.12.2021. The aim of the campaign is to collect Christmas cards for the elderly clients of home care and housing services.
“To a lonely senior citizen, a Christmas card gives the feeling of being remembered. Cards can convey a human touch and bring joy to our fellow humans”, says Eero Väisänen, Executive Director of Siskot ja Simot ry.
How to join the campaign
- Write a Christmas card (you can either make one yourself or use a ready-made card).
- Write your Christmas wishes on the card and “To you” on the space reserved for the recipient. Your name and Siskot ja Simot is written as the sender. For example: Merry Christmas!/Hyvää Joulua From Siskot ja Simot and me (your name).
- Bring the card as it is to your nearest collection box. Please do not put the card in a sealed envelope when you are taking your cards directly to the collection box.
