Naxos Video Library brings culture to your couch

In Naxos Video Library, you can watch thousands of video recordings of opera, ballet, classical music concerts, plays, documentaries, and educational material.

Naxos Video Library features nearly 3,000 video recordings of concerts, opera, ballet, documentaries, and educational material. The music content is mostly classical, but there are also some jazz and world music performances. You will also find documentaries about art, history, geography and sights.

Instructions for using Naxos Video Library

Log in to Naxos Video Library with your library card number. Type the library card number without spaces. A total of ten users can be logged in to the service simultaneously.

You can search for videos or browse the collection e.g. by genre, artist or composer. You can watch the videos on PC and Mac computers. The service works on an updated browser which supports Flash. Watching videos via smart phones or tablets is not currently possible.

If the video appears to be missing, you have to enable Flash in your browser.

Additional features

The videos can be streamed using standard or high quality. Some of the videos have subtitle options. The subtitle languages vary according to performances.

Many videos also come with a full libretto text. If a libretto is available, you can find the link on the Cast tab.
