Rikhardinkatu Library to re-open on 10 August 2020 following repairs

Rikhardinkatu Library has been closed for repairs since Midsummer. Due to a delay in the repair work, the library is being re-opened one week later than previously announced, on Monday 10 August 2020.

During the summer, the library has undergone repairs related primarily to its HVAC systems. The library’s signage has also been updated.

From 10 August onwards, the library (address Rikhardinkatu 3) is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 20:00 and Friday from 8:00 to 18:00. On Saturdays, the library is open from 10:00 to 16:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00.

Rikhardinkatu Library was originally completed in 1882. It is the oldest building in the Nordic countries to have been built specifically for library use.
