You can now freeze your holds in Taskukirjasto app
Many have requested this and now it is possible: you can now freeze your holds through the Taskukirjasto app. Until now you could only freeze and unfreeze your holds by logging in to the Helmet website.
You can freeze the holds from the “Holds” page in the app. The freeze button is under the details of each reserved item. If an item has already been frozen, you will find the unfreeze button in the same location. Note that you cannot freeze items if their status is In Transit or Ready, or if the material is also available to loan in one of our libraries.
The latest version of the app also includes improvements to accessibility among other things.
You can start using these new features by downloading the latest version of the Taskukirjasto app from your app store.
We are continuously working on improvements to the Taskukirjasto app. For example, we are planning to add the identifying reservation numbers to the app later in 2021 to make picking up reservations easier.
Versions 1.2.6 or later include these updates:
- Freezing and unfreezing holds
- Organizing the holds from shortest queue to the longest
- Author name added to the item name
- Color coding for loans due soon or late
- New Instructions section
- Accessibility: full Talkback support and possibility to switch on Show labels in image buttons
