Registering as a Celia online customer
Users with a print disability can register for Celia’s services and get access to more than 40 000 audiobooks online. To register for the Celia online service, please contact the library. You need to present a valid photographic proof of identity. Young people under 15 years of age must have a guarantor to register. Please note: Celia has audiobooks only in Finnish and Swedish.

Newspaper reading area
Newspaper reading area locates at the south end of the third floor (on the side near Helsinki Railway Square). There you will find newspapers and tablet computers for reading e-magazines. The magazines locates on the same floor, near the café.
Photo and video studio

Small pop-up events can be held on Oodi’s first floor. Read more about Oodi's pop-up area.
Pram park
The parking area of prams is situated on the third floor in Children’s World. A parking area can also be found on the ground floor, where signs mark the area assigned for prams.
Reading room
Oodi has a reading room that can be used for reading and quiet work. The reading room cannot be reserved. The reading room is located on Oodi’s second floor.
Recording studio
Seating steps
The seating steps, located on Oodi’s second floor, can be used for laid-back independent work or small group-work tasks.
Story room
The north end of Oodi’s third floor is the library’s children’s section. A secret door found in one of its bookshelves leads into a nest-like story room. Story room can’t be reserved for private occasions.
The Citizen’s Balcony
Oodi’s third floor balcony is open during the summer season.
Work desks
Oodi’s third floor has work desks, each equipped with a reading light and power sockets. On Oodi’s second floor, behind the Kuutio space, is a working area with separate electric work desks.

We have board games for players of all ages. You can play board games in the library or borrow them.
Collection
Oodi’s lending collection is mostly located on the third floor in Book Heaven. From Oodi’s first floor, you can grab best sellers and paperbacks with a short loan period. Read more about Oodi's library services.
Handbooks
Oodis's handbooks consists of "Suuri toivelaulukirja" -series. Books are situated at the third floor. Books may not be checked out.
Magazines
All Oodi’s newspapers and periodicals are to be found in Book Heaven.
Rainbow shelf
The rainbow shelf improves the discoverability and equality of LGBTQIA* material in the library. Library staff stock the rainbow shelf with materials for adults, young people and children that describe the life of sexual and gender minorities and rainbow culture mainly through positive representation. Homophobic and transphobic material does not belong on the rainbow shelf. Rainbow shelves can be found in several Helmet libraries, and all their materials can be reserved and borrowed in accordance with the Helmet rules of use. The material placed in the rainbow shelves of Helsinki City Library can be found in the Helmet database with the search word “sateenkaarihylly” (“rainbow shelf”).
