Helsinki Central Library Oodi organises its first Tolkien Day Tolkien Day, which honours the work of fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien, will be celebrated at Helsinki Central Library Oodi on Friday, 25 March at 16:00–21:00.
Oodi’s opening hours will change in 2022 The opening hours of Central Library Oodi will change slightly in the coming year 2022. On weeknights, from Monday to Friday, Oodi will close at 21:00 instead of 22:00. Otherwise, the opening hours will remain the same as before.

A fee will be charged for uncollected reservations Helmet libraries will start charging customers a fee of €1 for reservations that have not been picked up or cancelled by the last pick-up date. Crochet coral reef arrives to Oodi Margaret and Christine Wertheim's crochet coral reef Helsinki Satellite Reef is being assembled to Oodi's first floor beginning 31.5.2021. The work will be on display for the duration of Helsinki Biennial 2021, until 26th of September.
