Vantaa libraries’ opening hours in the summer
Vantaa libraries will adopt summer hours as of June 14, 2021. Some of the libraries will have shorter opening hours or be closed in the summer.
The summertime opening hours are valid from June 14 to August 8, 2021.
Myyrmäki and Tikkurila libraries will be open on Mon-Thurs at 8:00-20:00, on Fri at 8:00-16:00, on Sat at 9:00-16, and closed on Sun.
Hakunila, Kivistö, Koivukylä, Lumo, Länsimäki, Martinlaakso and Point libraries will be open on Mon, Thurs at 13:00-20:00, on Tue, Wed, Fri at 9:00-16:00, and closed on Sat-Sun.
On the day before Midsummer Eve, June 24, the libraries will close at 16:00, except for Pähkinärinne library that will be open till 20:00. On Midsummer Eve, June 25, the libraries will be closed.

Other libraries and mobile libraries
Pähkinärinne library will be open on Mondays and Thursdays from 14:00 to 20:00 until June 24 and closed on June 25- Aug. 1. For further information on picking up reserved items when the library is closed, go to Pähkinärinne library’s website.
Hiekkaharju library will be closed throughout the summer till Aug. 11.
Mobile libraries will run their evening routes on June 1-July 2 and be on summer break on July 3-Aug. 1. For further information on picking up reserved items when the mobile library is on summer break, go to the mobile library’s website.
Freeze your reservations for the summer.
If you cannot fetch your reservations during the summer, you can freeze them or cancel them. As of June 1, Helmet libraries will charge €1 for reservations that have not been fetched or canceled by the last pick-up day.
