Mushroom preservation workshop
In this workshop you will learn different ways of preserving mushrooms. The methods we will discuss and demonstrate are: drying, making powder, making jerky, infusing oils, pickling, fermenting and making spreads. We will cover why different mushrooms are preserved in different ways. We will share traditional Finnish recipes but also explore food preservation from other cultures. Each participant will make their own jar of pickled oyster mushrooms to take home.
