Tapiola Library’s “Slow service” is available Monday through Friday at 13-15. You can come and discuss literature and book choices, hear about our Bestsellers, learn about mobile devices or just have a chat with our librarians.
You can use our Slow area, where you can read the tabloids free of charge, whenever the library is open. You can also relax by knitting or crocheting or just by watching the calm and green scenery of Tapiola outside our windows.
On Thursdays we serve porridge from 8.30 onwards. The District Manager of Library Services, Sunniva, is often available for a chat then.
Slow service is also available at our service area next to the reservation shelf. The inspiration for Slow came from the food culture and Italy. ‘Slow Food’ was created to counteract ‘Fast Food’ chains. The idea has spread all over the world and to all areas of life.
